THE BIG BANG THEORY seasons are American situation comedy sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady whilst directed by James Burrows and Mark Cendrowski using multi-camera camera setup. Its opening theme “The History of Everything” has been given by Barenaked Ladies. The show has been produced by Steve Molaro, Mike Collier and Faye Oshima Belyeu in association with executive producers Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Lee Aronsohn. Peter Chakos hold the duties as show’s editor. Originally it is broadcast on CBS channel in 480i (SDTV) and 1080i (HDTV) picture format. THE BIG BANG THEORY season 1 was premiered on 24th September, 2007.
THE BIG BANG THEORY season’s protagonists are Dr. Leonard Hofstadter, Dr. Sheldon Cooper and Penny. Dr. Leonard Hofstadter is an experimental physicist and is usually wearing two jackets. At the young age of 24, he completed his Ph.D. and has an IQ of 173 whereas his roommate, friend and colleague Dr. Sheldon Cooper got 187 in IQ and hold two Ph.D. degrees. Sheldon joined college right after his fifth grade and now, he is a theoretical physicist. His lack of understanding irony and comedy creates hilarious situations. He usually wears a tee shirt inspired by some comic book and has a crush on her neighbor, Penny. Penny is a beautiful waitress and basically from Omaha, Nebraska. She is writing a semi autobiographical screenplay about a girl who wanted to become an actress and travels to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream. She is very assertive, kind and outgoing. Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali, Dr. Leslie Winkle and Howard Wolowitz are the other recurring characters. The show moves on with creating hilarious situations due to out of the world characteristics of these guys.

THE BIG BANG THEORY season 2 was nominated in Emmy Award, Excellence in Production Design Award and Art Directors Guild for various categories like Episode of a Multi-Camera Television Series (production designer & set designer) for episode “The Peanut Reaction”, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series and has been successful in winning Individual Achievement in Comedy award and Outstanding Achievement in Comedy award from Television Critics Association Awards TCA.
