In Season 2 Episode 3 Sheldon is disturbed while playing Age of Conan, when Penny accidentally tries to open her apartment door with her car keys. Penny then pours Sheldon with the frustrations and failures of her life which include not being selected for the parts she’s tried for in various plays, not having sex for six months, not receiving a raise at work as well as swallowing a fly on her way up the stairs. Sheldon asks a desperate Penny to wait for the locksmith in their apartment. While in the apartment, Penny gets interested in the Sheldon’s game and soon becomes an addict, leading her into numerous failed online dating attempts. Forced by her addiction, Penny end up accepting an online date in which she has to question Howard and drink ale with him at the local virtual tavern. However, as the episode ends, Penny realizes her folly and immediately stops playing the game.
